Ethereum Foundation member disputes Cardano founder’s involvement in Ethereum creation

Key member of Ethereum Foundation tried to disavow Cardano founder’s involvement in the creation of the Ethereum blockchain.

It all started with a post on Twitter that all the big crypto-industry figures involved in the formation of the Etherium network have created their own blockchains.

The tweet lists Vitalik Buterin, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson, Polkadot creator Gavin Wood, and Etherium developer Fabian Vogelsteller.

However, the latter disagreed with the user’s claims, saying that Hoskinson would be better removed from the list.

“A little tweak: Vitalik Buterin is the founder of Etherium, so he doesn’t count. But Hoskinson never was.. As far as I know, he has not created anything for Etherium.

He just happened to be in the right place at the right time, hanging out on a project,” Vogelsteller wrote.

The statement prompted a negative reaction from the community, so Vogelsteller clarified that he in no way meant to insult anyone, but was only relying on “pure facts”.

He assured that the Lukso protocol could be comparable to Polkadot and Cardano blockchains in the next two years. Charles Hoskinson reacted sarcastically:

“Thank you, Fabian. Glad to know your opinion on my contribution to Etherium. I guess Switzerland just materialized out of the ether. Given my profound incompetence, I would love to meet the people behind Cardano.”

Many major industry players disapprove of this kind of controversy and disagreement.

For example, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao believes that cryptocurrency projects need to join forces in order to survive negative events less painfully and together resist regulatory attacks.
