Fox Corporation and Polygon Labs launch Verify platform for copyright protection

In a unique collaboration, media giant Fox and Polygon Labs are teaming up to launch Verify, an innovative blockchain platform designed to track and authenticate corporate-owned media content on the internet.

This groundbreaking platform will enable companies to register their media content, grant rights to use intellectual property, and provide verification of its origin and authenticity.

“The rise of artificial intelligence tools in the media has made it increasingly challenging for consumers to differentiate between truth and deception. As a result, substantiated proof of the origin and authenticity of information has become essential. The Verify platform will not only assist consumers in identifying the source of content but also empower publishers with greater control,” stated representatives from Polygon Labs on the X social network.

One of the primary objectives of the Verify platform is to establish licensing and authentication agreements for copyrighted content owned by Fox Corporation, ensuring smooth integration with AI technology companies.

Starting January 8, media firms will have the opportunity to register various types of content with Verify, ranging from articles to audio and images, and grant rights for its utilization on artificial intelligence platforms.

In a separate development, the Indonesian government declared its plans to leverage blockchain technology for issuing digital land ownership certificates and educational qualification certificates back in October.
