49.6% of individuals who have become millionaires through cryptocurrency owe their fortunes to Bitcoin, according to the Henley & Partners Crypto Wealth Report. The number of Bitcoin millionaires has increased by over 111% from 2023 to reach 85,400 in 2024. Overall, there has been a significant surge in crypto millionaires, with a 95% increase compared to the previous year. Currently, there are 172,300 people who hold at least 1 million crypto assets. Moreover, out of the six new billionaires in 2024, five have amassed their wealth primarily through Bitcoin. Bitcoin holders account for nearly half of all global crypto millionaires. The rise in Bitcoin millionaires can be attributed to factors such as the approval of Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the United States and friendly regulations in countries like Singapore, the UAE, Switzerland, and certain Caribbean nations.
