Anatoly Aksakov said that digital ruble is planned to be actively used for cross-border settlements but many issues shall be coordinated.
“We are now working closely on the digital ruble, and we have plans to launch the process including the external market. Now there are talks about the active use of the digital ruble in foreign settlements,” said the deputy.
Some sources assure that the corresponding law may be adopted in the next two or three weeks.. In this case, while approvals are underway to use the state digital currency in foreign payments, it will be used to finance certain state needs. Which should help track budget money and stop embezzlement.
In May, Aksakov said that the law on the digital ruble would be adopted as early as June. At the same time, it was originally planned
to adopt the document back in April.
