Bitcoin mining difficulty has set an all-time high

  • The current mining difficulty is 52.39 T.
  • The hash rate reached 374.85 EH/s.

After another recalculation on Aug. 9, bitcoin’s mining difficulty rose 0.12%, setting a new all-time high. This occurred at a block height of 794,304. At the time of writing, the mining difficulty is 52.39 T.

The current average hash rate of the entire network is 374.85 EH/s.

Mining difficulty determines the total hardware power required for efficient mining.

Reminder, on June 14, bitcoin’s mining difficulty increased by 2.18%, at which point the figure hit a new high of 52.35 T and the network’s average hash rate was 383.87 EH/s.

According to BTC.com, the next recalculation will take place on Aug. 23.
