Circle launched its own WaaS-platform for developers

  • This is an infrastructure for developing turnkey solutions for storing and exchanging cryptocurrency
  • The platform offers a user-friendly interface as well as an extensive set of tools
  • The project is in open beta testing
  • The platform only supports three networks so far, but more are planned

This week Circle, the USDC-issuing company, released a wallet-as-a-service (WaaS) platform for Web3 developers. The project is a convenient infrastructure for creating and integrating new solutions for storing and exchanging cryptocurrencies.. Coinbase has a similar platform, for example. At the end of May, the exchange integrated this solution into the Ethereum network.

In short, WaaS is a set of tools for a developer. The platform allows you to create a ready-made template cryptocurrency wallet. In case of Coinbase, for example, login and password is enough to authorize or restore access to the account.

The information about the project release was confirmed by Circle CEO Jeremy Aller:

“We quietly released solution that will be the first milestone in further development of Circle.. Programmable wallets are our new WaaS platform. A working beta is now available.”

And here you can check out the technical documentation. According to the website, Circle’s programmable wallets offer a user-friendly interface, high security and efficient transactions.. At the initial stage, the platform supports three networks – Ethereum, Polygon and Avalanche, but later it is planned to increase their number significantly.
