Decentralized Bitcoin Exchange Bisq 2 has recently made a significant update by integrating the Lightning Network into its platform. The latest release, version 2.1.0, now enables users to carry out faster and cheaper transactions, taking advantage of the Lightning Network’s off-chain capabilities. To enhance user experience, Bisq 2.1.0 also introduces a QR code scanner for easy address and invoice input, improved chat functionalities, and enhanced user activity indicators. These updates aim to make trading more efficient and user-friendly on the platform. Development of Bisq 2 took nearly three years, and it launched its first beta release in March 2024. This innovative exchange was designed to provide a more flexible and efficient trading platform, building upon the original Bisq, which was launched in 2016.
