Developers of L2 protocols announced the integration of Avail

  • Projects Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, StarkWare and zkSync have announced Avail integration.
  • The initiative will help developers create scalable and cost-effective solutions for Ethereum.
  • Previously, the Avail team announced an airdrop of 600 million AVAIL tokens.

Developers of L2 solutions Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, StarkWare and zkSync intend to integrate the Avail protocol to expand data availability.

According to The Block, the launch of the mainnet and the subsequent integration of Avail will help create more scalable, cost-effective and composable solutions. Presumably, the project will be released on the mainnet in the next few weeks.

The statement said that Avail is a modular blockchain solution that allows you to host and confirm the availability of data offline.. The project is led by Anurag Arjun, a former top manager and co-founder of Polygon.

On April 24, 2024, the project team presented Turing – the last stage of the testnet before the launch of the main network. As part of the initiative, an airdrop of 600 million AVAIL was announced.

Avail is reported to make Layer 2 networks more efficient and secure by providing open access to all necessary transaction data. This approach prevents fraud and guarantees high reliability of operations outside of Ethereum, the developers noted.

In addition, Avail is working closely with OP Labs to provide integration with the Optimism ecosystem, Polygon and Starknet project teams. Finally, the blockchain solution will be integrated with zkSync’s ZK Stack.

Let us recall that earlier Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin spoke about the classification of L2 solutions. He highlighted the main problems associated with second-level networks.
