Dogecoin Co-Founder Slams SEC Chair Gary Gensler as “Completely Ineffective”
The co-founder of Dogecoin, Billy Markus, has publicly criticized the Chair of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Gary Gensler, calling him “useless in every single way.” Markus’s comments came in response to a video in which Gensler addressed the prevalence of fraud and noncompliance in the digital assets industry. According to Markus, Gensler has failed to establish clear regulations and lacks efficacy in his role as Chair of the SEC. Markus further emphasized that Gensler merely waves his hand without taking substantive action. This is not the first time Markus has voiced his criticisms, as he previously chastised the Dogecoin community for their lack of productivity.
