Experts: Sam Bankman-Fried is behind the BALD project.

  • Some users of the social network X (formerly Twitter) are convinced that the developer of the BALD token is Bankman-Fried or one of the former employees of Alameda Research.
  • This is indicated by the connection of the project creator’s addresses to early SushiSwap polls and the manner of communication in the publications, experts believe.
  • BALD’s exchange rate previously plunged more than 90 percent after an unidentified large holder withdrew a significant amount of liquidity.

Numerous cryptocurrency experts, including CEHV fund managing partner Adam Cochran, said Sam Bankman-Fried was behind the BALD project. The token’s exchange rate collapsed by more than 90% after the token’s unknown creator withdrew $12.5 million from the liquidity pool.

“I’m 90% sure the developer of BALD is an SBF or former Alameda Research employee,” Cochran emphasized.

As proof, he cited the early management decision votes of decentralized exchange SushiSwap as an example. It was Bankman-Fried who is credited with “saving” the platform when “chef” Nomi stepped aside.

According to Cochran, one of the addresses involved in the withdrawal of funds from the BALD pool was also spotted voting SushiSwap. And it’s labeled as Alameda Research.

An analyst with the pseudonym hype_eth agrees with him. He claims that the same characteristic phrases and intonations used by SBF are evident in the BALD creator’s publications.

Blockworks editor Andrew Thurman also expressed his opinion on the matter. According to its analysis, some of the addresses attributed to the developer are linked to Alameda Research.

It is noteworthy that the project creator himself denies selling tokens. At the time of writing, the token’s exchange rate has “sagged” by more than 70% overnight, according to CoinMarketCap:
