Peter Schiff Launches “Golden Triumph” NFT Collection on Bitcoin Blockchain

  • Schiff participates in the launch of the NFT collection using the bitcoin blockchain
  • The collection will be auctioned from June 2-9
  • It is called the Golden Triumph
  • Two years ago he called NFTs nothing

Gold proponent and bitcoin hater Peter Schiff will introduce the NFT collection to the bitcoin network, which will soon be auctioned off.

On his Twitter, the cryptoskeptic announced a collaboration with digital artist Market Price to produce his own collection.

“I am excited to announce an art project with one of my favorite artists, Market Price.

“This collaboration includes an original painting called ‘Golden Triumph’ as well as a series of prints and ordinals that will be fixed on the Bitcoin blockchain,” Schiff wrote on Twitter.

“Golden Triumph” is a set consisting of one physical painting made on linen canvas showing a human hand holding a gold bar, and 50 archival paper prints reproducing the same illustration.

In addition, the set includes 50 digital versions presented as ordinal NFTs based on bitcoin.

The collection will go up for auction next Friday, June 2, and will close a week later, June 9.

According to the official website, the auction will consist of two phases: first, the Golden Triumph painting will be sold, followed by 50 NFT images for sale.

The reaction of the cryptocommunity varied: some people were discouraged, others were pleasantly surprised, and some others showed a positive attitude – especially supporters of Ordinals.

Nevertheless, some have noted the obvious hypocrisy.
