Ripple (XRP) Soars to 7-Week Peak, Bitcoin (BTC) Calms Below $66K: Weekend Watch

Ripple’s native token, XRP, has experienced a significant surge, reaching a 7-week peak with a price of $0.62. This comes as most altcoins have corrected on a daily scale. Meanwhile, Bitcoin has calmed below $66,000 after reaching a peak of $66,500, marking its highest price in two months. Despite a slight decline in its market cap, Bitcoin still holds dominance over the altcoins at 53.9% on CG. Other larger-cap altcoins such as ETH and BNB have also experienced minor losses, while Dogecoin has seen notable gains. However, XRP stands out as the top performer, experiencing a 6% surge and trading close to $0.63, its highest level since August 8. Despite these individual token movements, the total crypto market cap currently sits below $2.4 trillion after a $30 billion decline overnight.
