Rodarmor Steps Back from Public Role in Ordinals Protocol, Programmer Rafe Takes Charge

  • Rodarmor wants less publicity
  • It will continue to work on GitHub
  • But will give more freedom to programmer Rafe

The famous Bitcoin blockchain-based Ordinals protocol celebrated an impressive 10 million records online yesterday.

Just a couple of days before, the creator of the Rodarmor project announced his departure.

He wrote that he was not paying enough attention to Ordinals, and passed the position of manager to programmer Rafe.

And he added that work on the project would be paid for by community donations.

The Ordinals protocol team gave an interview to Decrypt about it. They stated that Rodarmor is not leaving completely.

“He just doesn’t want to be a public face [Ordinals] at this point.. My new role involves regular phone calls with Rodamore,” says programmer Raf.

Raf himself lives and studies in Germany. He will work on Ordinals part-time. EA’s new responsibilities include more control over the codebase for Ordinals on Github.

Previously, Raf had to wait for Rodamore’s approval to download any updates, and that took time.

The programmer now has more freedom. That said, Rodarmor will continue to work on GitHub.

Raf also added that he’s not the only one who will be able to release new code or make changes to the protocol.

They are now attracting new talent from all over the industry. Meanwhile, Litecoin and Dogecoin are also recording online records thanks to Ordinals.
