Tether, the leading issuer of the stablecoin Tether (USDT), has announced a collaboration with the Africa Blockchain Institute (ABI) to provide education on blockchain technology to students in the Ivory Coast. The ABI plans to conduct workshops at five universities in the country, with the goal of promoting awareness and understanding of blockchain technology. The partnership was welcomed by Tether, who shared the news on its official Twitter account. The Africa Blockchain Institute has been actively working to promote the adoption and development of blockchain technology in Rwanda, and is now expanding its educational initiatives to include the Ivory Coast. The workshops will cover topics such as the use of blockchain in various industries, smart contracts, cryptocurrencies, and decentralized finance (DeFi). Tether also expressed its commitment to spreading awareness about blockchain technology globally, with collaborations and sponsorships of various educational projects in Africa. This collaboration with ABI is seen as another important step in achieving this goal.
