- One of the highlights is the planned airdrop of W tokens to the community.
- The snapshot for the airdrop was taken on February 7, according to community members.
Wormhole recently announced the upcoming airdrop of their W token, along with providing information about the tokenomics of the project.
The W token is built on the ERC-20 and SPL standards using the Native protocol, with a total supply of 10 billion W tokens. At the start, 82% of the tokens will be locked.
The allocation of tokens among different groups is as follows:
- Guardian nodes – 5.1%
- Community and launch stage – 17%
- Ecosystem and incubator – 31%
- Main participants – 12%
- Strategic participants – 11.6%
- Treasury – 23.3%
This means that the circulating supply of W tokens at the launch stage will be approximately 1.8 billion.

Furthermore, the DAO will assume additional responsibilities in the future.
