UK law enforcers launch search for cryptomachine specialist

  • The UK’s National Organized Crime Agency is seeking people with expertise in cryptocurrencies.

The UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) is looking for specialists with experience of working with cryptocurrencies.

One of the agency’s branches has opened a vacancy for a digital asset crime investigation manager.

The future employee should have extensive knowledge of blockchain and a good grasp of legislation. He will be part of the digital assets team and will investigate financial fraud related to cryptocurrency.

Principal responsibilities include:

  • advising officers dealing with cryptocurrency restrictions and seizures;
  • providing information to investigative teams investigating financial crimes involving digital assets;
  • assisting operations managers with staff training;
  • developing good business relationships with colleagues, representatives of other law enforcement agencies, and others.

In selecting candidates for the position, preference is given to individuals who have experience investigating complex financial and economic crimes.

In addition to a salary of £47,380 ($61,186), the NCA contributes £12,792 ($16,519) to the Civil Service Pension Scheme. And also offers extensive development and training opportunities.

Applicants for the Financial Crimes Investigator position must apply by and including August 7, 2023. The results of the selection will be known on Aug. 28, 2023.
