Crypto-enthusiast populist Francis Suarez has ended his US presidential campaign

To participate, candidates needed a minimum of 40,000 unique signatures of support, which Suarez said he achieved, as well as at least 1% in three qualifying polls. But three days later, the Republican National Committee released the lineup for the debate, where the politician was absent.

“Throughout the campaign, I met so many freedom-loving Americans who care deeply about our country, its people and its future. I was honored to come so close to appearing on stage with the other candidates at the first debate,” the mayor of Florida’s capital city said.

Earlier, Francis Suarez announced that he was accepting bitcoins as donations for his campaign. When Suarez announced his decision to become a presidential candidate, he assured that he dreamed of turning Miami into the center of the cryptocurrency industry. The politician has even started converting his salary into bitcoins.
