Binance Opens Blockchain Hub in Georgia to Attract Talent and Drive Crypto Adoption

Binance, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, has made an exciting announcement regarding its plans to establish a new hub in Georgia.

The main goal of this new center will be to attract talent within the blockchain technology field, while also promoting education and public initiatives related to blockchain and Web3.

Additionally, the exchange intends to drive further development within the Georgian crypto industry. Currently, the Binance team in Georgia consists of 25 individuals, but the establishment of this new hub is expected to create dozens of new job opportunities by the end of 2023.

Binance recognizes Georgia as one of the most innovative countries within the region and views the establishment of this hub as an important addition to their regional presence.

Vladimir Smerkis, the head of regional development at Binance, considers the hub as an important point on the map for the company, while Giorgi Chagelishvili, general manager of Binance in Georgia, notes that the opening of the hub is a logical continuation of the dialogue that began with the government last year.

During Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao’s visit to Georgia in November 2022, he met with Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and the local crypto community, while in February, Binance signed a memorandum of understanding with the Georgian Innovation and Technology Development Agency (GITA) to hold educational events focused on blockchain and crypto assets.
