Dogecoin Creator Calls Crypto Investors “Mentally Disabled” and NFT Buyers “Unhealthy”

Billy Markus, the creator of the Dogecoin meme cryptocurrency, has made controversial comments about crypto investors and NFT buyers.

Markus, who tweets under the handle Shibetoshi Nakamoto, a parody of the mysterious creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, has been a vocal critic of cryptocurrencies.

In a recent tweet, he called crypto investors “mentally disabled” and NFT buyers “even more unhealthy.”

Markus stated that investing in crypto is equivalent to investing in mental illness, which he believes is on the rise.

He also reminded his followers and the entire crypto community that he is no longer part of the Dogecoin Foundation team and does not speak for them in his tweets.

Markus went on to say that the world is becoming “sillier and more miserable” every day.

He believes that NFTs, a derivative of cryptocurrency, are even more mentally ill, and he stopped investing in crypto nine years ago after the release of Dogecoin.

Markus thinks that investing in digital currencies is another form of gambling and does not believe in Bitcoin as a currency.

In April, it was announced that a feature-length documentary about Kabosu, the Shiba Inu dog that inspired the popular meme and Dogecoin cryptocurrency, would be released by the Own the Doge NFT community and PleasrDAO.

Elon Musk, who has contributed to the growth of Dogecoin with his messages and statements, is a big fan of DOGE and even temporarily put the image of DOGE on the Twitter logo.
