The Cardano team took offense at Messari analysts for the absence of ADA in the annual report on cryptocurrencies

The Cardano team expressed disappointment with the lack of mention of the ADA coin in the “Crypto Theses for 2024” report, prepared by analytics company Messari.

The comprehensive 200-page report covers various topics and companies, including layer-one blockchains and decentralized finance (DeFi). In the report, Bitcoin is mentioned 178 times, Ethereum 96 times, Solana 65 times, BNB 5 times, and XRP 3 times, while Cardano is not mentioned at all.

Tamara Haasen, President of Input Output Global, the company behind Cardano’s development, reached out to Messari CEO Ryan Selkis, seeking an explanation for the omission.

“Please honestly answer why you didn’t mention us in your report. Don’t worry, it won’t hurt our feelings. The Cardano community has thrived without the support of crypto media and will continue to grow,” Haasen wrote on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

Selkis responded that the report focused on the economic activity of ecosystems and that several other prominent blockchains were also not mentioned.

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson joined the discussion, noting that the discontent expressed by the community regarding Messari’s research speaks for itself. Hoskinson previously expressed similar concerns about the disregard from cryptocurrency publication Coindesk.

As of Friday, December 22, ADA is trading at $0.6151, with a market capitalization of $21.7 billion. Cryptocurrency analyst Dan Gambardello suggested that ADA’s growth is anticipated prior to the Bitcoin halving scheduled for 2024. According to Gambardello’s forecast, the Cardano cryptocurrency could reach $11 during the next bullish trend.
