The Faroe Islands Autonomous Territory Postal Service has become another national post office with its own collection of non-exchangeable tokens.</div

Posta Faroe Islands has posted an announcement on its official website about the launch of its first collection of NFT stamps, called Stamps of Maybe. The announcement says that each physical stamp will be accompanied by a digital version stored in a blockchain.

As a unique offering for users and collectors, it is reported that they will be able to influence the appearance of the digital twin of the physical postage stamp at the time of activation.

To that end, all NFT stamps in the Stamps of Maybe collection are linked to readings from the local weather station Veðurstova Føroya. At the moment of activation to form a unique appearance of the digital version of physical stamps will be used actual data on the time of year and atmospheric phenomena. Thus, the NFT owner will be able to choose the moment of activation and influence the way the brand will look. This is intended to increase rarity and collectible value.

Previously, Swiss Post, Emirates Post, France’s La Poste group, as well as PostNL in the Netherlands and PostAG in Austria announced their own NFT stamp collections.
