Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart: The US is preparing permission to trade options on Bitcoin ETFs

According to a stock analyst at Bloomberg, there is growing optimism that the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) may give the green light for options trading on spot Bitcoin ETFs by the end of February.

On his X (formerly Twitter) page, James Seyffart revealed that the US agency has already accepted Form 19b-4 applications for the potential trading of these options.

Seyffart further speculates that if the Commission wants to expedite the adoption process, the options could be approved as early as February. Specifically, he predicts a potential approval window between February 15th and September 21st of this year.

In a notable development, on January 11th, the SEC approved all 11 applications for spot Bitcoin ETFs. As a result, the trading volume of these exchange-traded funds surged to $4.5 billion on January 12th.
