Bitcoin wallet Xverse has attracted $5 million in investment

Bitcoin wallet Xverse has raised $5 million in investment as part of a seed round of funding, according to The Block. 

The new funding will help the company accelerate the development of features related to decentralized finance (DeFi), as well as Stacks, Lightning Network and other solutions for scaling the bitcoin blockchain, according to a statement to CoinDesk.

The funding round was led by Jump Crypto with participation from Franklin Templeton, Sfermion, Alliance, NGC Ventures and others.

The company’s CEO Ken Liao told The Block that Xverse opened a fundraising round a few months ago, but declined to comment on the round’s structure and the startup’s valuation.

Reminder, crypto startup Puffer Finance previously raised $5.5 million in seed round funding.
