Bitcoin Lightning Wallet of Satoshi is leaving the U.S. market

The development team behind crypto app Payments Wallet of Satoshi has announced it is leaving the US and refusing to continue serving US customers.

The app has already been removed from the US Apple and Google stores. That said, cryptocurrency wallet operator Bitcoin Lightning Wallet of Satoshi (WoS) admitted that the program was not banned from mobile app stores, but declined to comment on the real reasons behind its own hasty decision.

“We have made the difficult decision to remove our app from the U.S. Apple and Google app stores and will not serve customers in the U.S. going forward,” the statement said.

Current U.S. Bitcoin Lightning users will retain full access to their digital assets and also have the ability to transfer their tokens to the balances of other cryptocurrency wallets, the project team assures.

Earlier, a class action lawsuit was filed against Apple Corp.
a class action lawsuit accusing it of restricting peer-to-peer cryptocurrency transfers and entering into anti-competitive agreements with peer-to-peer payment platforms CashApp and Venmo.
