Floki Coin’s Surge in Value After Promotion on Chinese State TV CCTV-5

The value of Floki Coin rose 10% after an advertisement for the token appeared on the Chinese state TV channel CCTV-5 during the broadcast of the World Table Tennis Championship.
The project team said the cryptocurrency received a large influx of Chinese traffic because of the CCTV-5 broadcast.

“FLOKI appeared on CCTV-5, China’s main sports TV channel, days before Hong Kong is expected to legalize cryptocurrency.

More than 100 million people in China learned about FLOKI through our sponsorship of the Table Tennis World Finals,” assured the developers.

The team plans to attract the attention of crypto users from the PRC with a special strategy, the implementation of which involves a partnership with Btok, China’s most extensive crypto-social network.

The partnership with Btok will last until the end of the year and will introduce a meme to more than 10 million Chinese crypto-users.

In addition, the Chinese version of the FLOKI PlayToEarn meta-universe, Valhalla, is set to launch later this year.

The team is confident that the strategy and partnerships will lead to wider adoption and use of the meme token by Chinese users, despite official bans.

The CEO of cryptocurrency exchange Binance, Changpeng Zhao, recently said that after China’s central television, CCTV, aired a story about cryptocurrency, “all of China is literally buzzing.”

The businessman added a link to a CCTV web page showing a story about the appearance of a crypto-machine in Hong Kong that reads “Buy Bitcoins”.

Collectible tokens (NFTs) were also featured in the story.

In mainland China, cryptocurrency exchanges have been banned since 2017, and any cryptocurrency is banned since 2021.

In May 2023, it was reported that users from the PRC, who are banned from registering on the Worldcoin crypto project, are resorting to buying biometric data from third parties in Africa in the hope of getting bonuses after the launch of the project.
