The Korean home appliance maker has partnered with cloud platform Oorbit and Web3 company Pixelynx to support the metaverse on LG TVs.
The announcement was made at CES2023. Users are promised access to interconnected virtual worlds, music concerts, multiplayer games and other aspects of the metaverse.. The use of advanced artificial intelligence technology is promised.
“Our proprietary technology will become the fabric that will tie virtual worlds together and allow developers and brands to easily bring user experience into the metaverse.. Using the technology in millions of LG TVs will be the next step in making the metaverse accessible to everyone,” said Pooya Koosha, co-founder and CTO of Oorbit.
Earlier, LG announced plans to launch its own software cryptocurrency wallet.
