Disney Star Launches Starverse Metaverse Platform for Sports Fans

Disney’s subsidiary in India, Disney Star, has announced the launch of their very own metaverse platform called Starverse.

The platform promises to offer an immersive 3D experience for sports fans, making it a natural fit for a multi-platform, multi-modal, and collaborative experience.

According to Sanjog Gupta, the Head of Sports at Star&Disney India, Starverse is set to be the company’s first mass-tested interface, with plans to release the final version after analyzing user behavior and testing its features.

Unlike the mobile app, Starverse can be accessed through the telephone network, making it available to more users.

Disney has reportedly collaborated with various agencies to develop the technical base, 3D models, and environment and gamification of Starverse.

As the metaverse market continues to grow, regulators worldwide are exploring options for controlling digital worlds, with Interpol already looking into ways to regulate platforms that have been used for criminal activities.

Overall, Starverse promises to be an innovative metaverse platform that will continuously evolve throughout the year, setting it apart from other metaverse initiatives in the country.
