Calbee Launches “Chips-NFT” Advertising Campaign for Collectible Tokens on Astar Blockchain

Calbee, a top snack manufacturer in Japan, is set to launch an exciting advertising campaign dubbed “Chips-NFT” that will distribute collectible tokens on the Astar blockchain.

Customers who purchase Usu-Shio, Consomme-Punch, or Nori-Shio chips will get an opportunity to participate in a game called Ori-pake and receive free Potato-NFTs.

The game involves folding the chip package into an origami shape following the instructions on the package and confirming completion using the Calbee Lbee Program smartphone app.

After collecting five NFTs, users can become characters in the Jagaverse virtual world, with the grand prize winner receiving a golden emblem and six free bags of chips.

The promotional campaign aims to create a future where the Japanese use the Astar Network.

Interested participants have until May 31st to join the campaign.

In a similar move, Papa Johns pizza chain announced in April that it was releasing a collection of non-fungible tokens featuring three of the most popular pizzas, while in March, the Indian branch of Maggi, the food seasoning brand, revealed it was preparing to launch its own NFTs in the OneRare Foodverse metaverse.
