“PEPE’s hype token meme has been launched on the Etherium blockchain in April 2023.
It quickly gained popularity among crypto-enthusiasts, positioning itself as a new memcoin that can challenge Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB).
Users can currently trade PEPE on Kraken by adding the token to their accounts.
The token is traded on the Kraken and Kraken Pro spot markets, but is not yet available on platforms in the U.S. and Canada.
PEPE is currently priced at $0.00000158. Reaching a record peak of $0.0000043, the token fell 63% from its highs. PEPE is also listed on Binance, OKX, Bitget and KuCoin.
Meanwhile, Binance has the largest share of PEPE trading volume at 33.42%, according to CoinGecko.
Earlier, cryptocurrency exchange Gemini announced that it had added PEPE to its listing. Trading is still available in the API/FIX and ActiveTrader applications.
Amid the excitement around PEPE, digital artist Johnny Shankman posted a video on Twitter that captures the process of creating the new EASY_MONEY token in just 27 seconds.
